A two star recruit coming out of Watson Chapel High School (Pine Bluff, AR) in 2011, Mitch boasted the ideal size and speed to be a difference maker at the collegiate level as evidenced by his First Team All-State honors. By 2012, Mitch had already established himself as a ball-hawking safety, disruptive to both the passing and running games of opponents and often known for having his biggest games against key opponents (e.g. leading the defense to an upset of #8 Arkansas, as a RS Freshman). Capable of playing both Safety and Outside Linebacker, Mitch posted his strongest season in 2014 where he started all 12 games as a Junior; during this season he earned First Team All-Sun Belt and First Team All-Louisiana honors, led the team in interceptions (three) and finished second with 91 total stops (51 solo, 40 asst) - including 4.5 tackles for loss. Having now completed his collegiate career, Mitch is training intensively at Michael Johnson Performance in Dallas, TX to prepare for the NFL.
