Coming out of High School, Ian Simon was known as a hard-hitting, ball-hawking athlete capable of making plays on multiple sides of the ball. By his Junior year of College, he had earned reputation of team leader for a defense that featured the likes of Shane Ray and Michael Sam. As a team captain during his Senior year, Ian earned the team’s "Safety of the Year" Award after an incredible senior season that saw him finish with 46 total tackles (31 solo), two interceptions, one fumble recovery and four pass break-ups; and while he was making plays on the field, he was also helping his University win a battle for civil justice by standing up against the mistreatment of students through discriminative acts. Everything about Ian is rooted in his desire to be the best at what he does and that passion is now focused on being a playmaker at the professional level. To do so, Ian is training intensively at Michael Johnson Performance in Dallas, TX to prepare for the NFL.
